Spent the weekend riding the power of the Volkswagon, Jetta. I have a name for it already, it's very slick, like a fox. Little Grey Fox, or Foxy Jetta.
Saturday Morning I started off with my training sessions for the Triathlon. First an hour spin class, then an hour in the pool. Foxy Jetta is very convenient when it comes to carry many bags AND not wanting to set it down in the mudd or dirty asphalt. AND not wanting all your stuff rolling around in the trunk. I have my gym bag, drapped over my shoulder and its pretty heavy with all my gear for Biking and Swimming, two large water bottles, nutrition for after each session. Easy Brezzy, click of the trunk open button, the trunk opens, I arrange the plastic velcro cargo box to fit perfectly around my bag, and it sits nice and snug, and when I shut the Trunk, I don't have to push it from the top of the trunk, there's a lip on the inside of the trunk I can use to pull it down and it shuts.
Saturday night I went out to dinner at Drunken Noodle in Essex Junction. Driving along in the Foxy Jetta, The Fox for short. I said to myself, "Self, what was I thinking. No reservations, busy Saturday Night, I'm not going to find a place to park, I only have an hour for dinner before the show. Beauty of Foxy Jetta, it's compact and will fit just about anywhere, and still fits 4 adults very comfortably. Parking the foxy compact jetta was NOT a problem. With our leftovers from dinner, put the to go goxes in the trunk using the plastic velcro cargo box, I was able to arrange the plastic pieces snug around the food and it didn't spill over the place.
Off to a play with the Essex Community Players. Another small parking lot, a bit muddy on Saturday Night. Front Wheel drive pull us through with not problem, again parking was simple!
Then, Sunday Morning, off to breakfast, and found another great feature in the Foxy Jetta. The 60/40 split folding seats in the back there's a pass through with an arm rest and cup holders. The pass through is perfect for four adults to go skiing I thought to myself. The ski's can fit in the trunk through the back seat. Wait until you see the video of us finding THAT!
